I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in psychological assessment and individual, couples and family therapy. I maintain a private practice in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
With over 10 years clinical training, I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of practice are life and creativity coaching, mood and anxiety disorders, couples' communication, parent training, and skills for healthy teenagers. I also enjoy assisting individuals who relocate to Oskaloosa in making the transition to life in a rural community.
In addition to my clinical work, I have published a modest number of research studies and book chapters. I enjoy presenting to regional conferences and to general audiences, speaking on the topics of coping with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, stress management, and parenting.
As noted, I am a licensed clinical psychologist and health service provider in the state of Iowa. My therapeutic approach is predominantly cognitive-behavioral in orientation. I attempt to integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With a focus on acceptance and understanding, I hope to work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and to attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
